Graduate Scholarship Awards
The Hampton Roads Chapter of the Conference of Minority Public Administrators (COMPA) offers two $500 scholarships for undergraduate and a $1,000 scholarship for graduate study in Public Administration, Urban Studies, Urban Planning, or a related field. Scholarships are presented during the Annual Conference Luncheon.
Application Requirements:
- Full-time undergraduate/graduate study;
- Current or most recent transcript indicating 2.5 undergraduate or 3.0 graduate grade point average;
- Evidence of extracurricular and community involvement;
- Two-page essay on your professional goals; and
- Two letters of recommendation.

Annual Conference Scholarship Awards
The Hampton Roads Chapter of the Conference of Minority Public Administrators (COMPA) offers scholarships to cover the registration cost for its Annual Conference for deserving persons interested in attending. Applicants must provide a brief statement of why public service is important to them, how the conference will benefit them and why they should be selected to receive the scholarship.
Application Procedure:
Applications are accepted in June/July/August prior to our annual Conference.
